You may make several different types of service requests right from the home page, such as submitting traffic safety issues directly to our traffic officer, giving compliments to officers and staff, requesting a police clearance letter, or enrolling in our Special Needs program. ACCIDENT and INCIDENT VERIFICATION REPORTS
Accident reports and Incident Verification reports are one of our most frequently requested services. In addition to requesting these reports in person, over the phone or in writing, it is also possible to request them on line. To do so, click the police report icon above to request an accident report or incident verification on line.
VACANT HOME CHECK
If you visit our Services Bureau area, you can browse through and learn about the many programs we offer, as well as our e-mail notification service and Township Traffic Alerts. A popular program offered by the Services Bureau is our Vacant Home program. If you are going on vacation and would like your house watched by the police department while you are away, click the House icon above to complete our Vacant House form. You may either complete it on your computer and print it out, or you may print it out and complete it by hand.
SIGN UP FOR AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATIONS OF EMERGENCIES AND OTHER TOWNSHIP HAPPENINGS>>>If you are interested in enrolling in Jefferson Township's Instant Alert system to receive emergency notifications regarding road closures, power outages, services available during disasters, etc., click the red and blue "Honeywell Instant Alert Plus" link above. When enrolling, you will also be able to sign up for Recreation Dept. email notifications and Water Utility notifications. This service is no charge to Jefferson Township residents.
For residents unable to access a computer to enroll, please call Town Hall at (973) 697-1500, and you will be put in touch with the Township's Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT) to assist you with enrollment.
