12/9/2013, Burglary/Theft, PO Chris Fabian: A resident of North New York Avenue reported the theft of loose change from an unlocked vehicle.

 

12/10/2013, Burglary/Theft, PO Chris Fabian: The owner of Millwork Junction on Berkshire Valley Road reported that unknown actor(s) forced their way into the business and removed over $2100 worth of tools.  Incident under investigation.

 

12/12/2013, Burglary, Sgt. John Kessler: A resident of Russia Road reported that an unknown actor(s) gained entry to a rear entrance of his home. Nothing appeared to be missing.

 

12/17/2013, Fraud, PO Tim Hecht: A resident of Black Oak Trail reported that a response to ad was received from an ad posted on Craig?s List selling some merchandise. Two money orders for $988.00 were received and were asked to send the balance to another address. It was verified as a scam with her bank.

 

12/20/2013, Vehicle Burglaries, PO Tim Hecht & PO Justin Gjelsvik: Officers responded to reports of items stolen from vehicles on Terrace Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue and North Lakeside Avenue. Hopatcong PD later located Sean Secula age 21, Shane Clancy age 19 and Rebecca Dwyer age 20 all of Jefferson Twp. in their jurisdiction upon responding to a suspicious activity call. They were allegedly in possession of some of the stolen property from the reported burglaries in Jefferson Twp. After a brief investigation the three were charged with burglary and theft and all were lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of bail.  

 

12/20/2013, Stolen/Recovered Mail, PO Jusitn Gjelsvik: While on routine patrol Officer Gjelsvik observed discarded open mail located in the area of Brady Road. It appears that actor(s) were opening Christmas cards looking for money.

 

12/20/2013, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Hindering apprehension, PO Tim Hecht: While on routine patrol in the area of Route 15 North Officer Hecht stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation. The driver provided numerous false names and was later identified as Guillermo Eirin age 20 of Jefferson Twp. During course of investigation a clear plastic baggie containing green vegetation was observed on front driver?s side floor of the vehicle. Mr. Guillermo was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and hindering apprehension and later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

12/22/2013, Motor Vehicle Accident, Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, DWI, PO Justin Gjelsvik: Officer Gjelsvik responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway in the area of Winona Trail and Sachem Road. After a brief investigation Officer Gjelsvik placed under arrest Matthew Lassell age 20 of Stroudsburg, PA. He was issued summons for possession of a controlled dangerous substance(marijuana), driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane. He was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

12/26/2013, Criminal Mischief PO Ryan McGowan:  A resident of Ohio Street reported unknown actor(s) let air out of his vehicle?s tires.

 

12/26/2013, Criminal Mischief Cpl. Doug Martin:  A resident of Dacotah Trail reported that an unknown actor(s) threw an egg at a picture window.

 

12/27/2013, DWI, PO Chris Quidort: While on routine patrol Sgt. Joseph Johnson located an accident on Dover Milton Road. Further investigation revealed that the driver was possibly intoxicated. Bradford Daniel age 62 of Jefferson Twp. was placed under arrest and was later charged with DWI. He was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

12/27/2013, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Fireworks  PO Tim  Hecht:  After a routine motor vehicle stop of Route 15, PO Hecht determined that the operators driving privileges were suspended. During the course of his investigation PO Hecht allegedly observed bottle rockets on the floor and baggie with suspected marijuana. The driver identified as John Watson age 24 of Jefferson Twp. was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS, fireworks and other motor vehicle complaints. He was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

12/28/2013, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Ryan McGowan: While investigating a report of a dispute on Henry Street, Officer Hecht observed the smell of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that Omaira Torres age 39 of Sparta was allegedly in possession of marijuana. She placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

12/30/2013, Warrant Arrest, PO Sean Krater: Tina Molan age 21of Lincoln Park arrested in Upper Saddle River on a Jefferson Twp. warrant. She was transported to Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

 

12/30/2013, Burglary, PO Sean Krater: A resident of Brady Road reported that unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked home and removed a television and computer. Incident under investigation.

 

12/31/2013, Criminal Mischief, Cpl. Bryan Christie: A resident of Pequot Trail reported that he noticed pellet type hole in the front and back windows of his vehicle.

 

12/31/2013, DWI, PO Dave Wroblewski: Felix Hernandez Sanchez age 34 of Olympia WA was stopped on Route 15 South during a routine motor stop. It was determined that the driver was possibly intoxicated and was placed under arrest. He was charged with DWI and was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.  

 

1/4/2014, Motor Vehicle Accident, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Ryan McGowan: Officer McGowan responded to Minnisink Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon his arrival the vehicle was unoccupied.  During the course of determining the owner/driver a small bag of marijuana was observed on the front passenger seat.  Further investigation revealed that Rachael Diamond age 20 of Wharton was the operator of the vehicle. She was issued summonses for leaving the scene failure to report and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

 

1/5/2014, Theft, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Paraphernalia, PO Tim Hecht: Codey Dohm age 19 of Jefferson Twp. arrested and charged with harassment, theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia after responding to a report of a dispute on Woodland Drive. He was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

1/5/2014, DWI, PO Dave Cannarozzi: Maria Morandegarcia age 45 of Jefferson Twp. was arrested for DWI after receiving a call of a possible motor vehicle accident on Route 15 North. Driver was charged with DWI and later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

 

1/5/2014, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Dave Wroblewski: Officer Wroblewski responded to East Shawnee Trail for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck some mailboxes. Further investigation revealed the possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). A 17 year old Jefferson Twp. female was placed into custody and later turned to a parent. Motor vehicle and juvenile charges pending.
