9/29/2013, DWI, PO Ryan McGowan- Norman Nutt age 53 of Morristown arrested for DWI after he was observed driving erratically by Sparta PD. Sparta observed and stopped him in Jefferson Twp. PO McGowan investigated further and determined that the driver was possible intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and charged with DWI.
9/29/2013, Shoplifting, PO Matt Cannarozzi - A 17 year old Little Falls female was taken into custody for shoplifting after being observed concealing assorted makeup products in her purse by the CVS manager. Total theft $50.00. She was later turned over to her father. Juvenile complaints pending.
10/1/2013, Burglary, Theft from MV, PO Tim Hecht- A resident of Pennsylvania Avenue reported that unknown actor(s) removed $10 in change and an expired handicap placard from his unlocked vehicle.
10/1/2013, Burglary, Theft from MV, PO Tim Hecht- A resident of Prospect Point Road reports theft of $10.00 in change and an IPhone from an unlocked vehicle.
10/5/2013, Motor Vehicle Accident, DWI, PO Eric Sudak- Tadeusz Kulikowski age 62 of Jefferson Twp. was arrested for DWI after having a motor vehicle accident in the area of East Shawnee Trail. Driver was charged for with DWI and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
10/8/2013, Road Rage/Criminal Mischief, Sgt. John Kessler- A 18 year old female Jefferson Twp. resident and Luis Santiago age 32 of Newark involved in road rage incident on Route 181. The female was pulling out of a parking lot when Mr. Santiago passed her on the double yellow and stopped abruptly in front of her. He exited his vehicle and approached her vehicle. He began yelling and then threw an unidentified object at her windshield, breaking same. Santiago was issued a summons for criminal mischief.
10/12/2013, Motor Vehicle Accident, DWI, PO Dave Wojtach- David Menendez age 23 of Roxbury was involved in a motor vehicle accident on lower Berkshire Valley Road. Investigation revealed the driver was possibly intoxicated. Driver was arrested and charged with DWI and later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
10/20/2013, Burglary/Theft, PO Dave Wojtach- A resident of Chincopee Road reported that an unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle sometime in the past month and removed NJ Registration documents, GPS windshield bracket and
$11.00 in currency.
10/24/2013, Warrant Arrest, Cpl. Doug Martin- Shane Clancy age 19 of Jefferson Twp. arrested on $1000 Vernon Twp. Turn over to Vernon Twp PD.
10/26/2013, Motor Vehicle Stop, Eluding, PO Sean Krater: Officer Krater stopped a vehicle on Homestead Road. The driver was identified as Alexander Sotnyk age 24 of Jefferson Twp. Mr. Sotnyk exited the vehicle and ran off while Officer Krater was waiting confirmation from the Sheriff?s Office on the status of an outstanding warrant
Judge Bowkley authorized an arrest warrant for eluding with a bail of $2500.00 no 10%.
10/28/2013, Criminal Mischief, PO Sean Krater- Briggs Elementary School reported criminal mischief. Actor(s) spray painted a garbage dumpster and a utility trailer.
10/28/2013, Warrant Arrest, PO Sean Krater and PO Chris Quidort- Joshua Dejesus age 19 of Jefferson Twp. was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Jefferson Township Municipal Court. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. Mr. Dejesus was transported to the Morris County Correction Facility in lieu of bail.
10/29/2013, Burglary/Theft. Criminal Mischief, PO Sean Krater, PO Eric Sudak- Officers investigated a possible trespassing complaint. Investigation revealed that Karl Cirluso age 41of Jefferson Twp. had unlawfully entered the structure and was gutting the bank owned home for scrap metal. Mr. Cilurso was placed under arrest and Judge Gerald Smith of Rockaway authorized arrest warrant for burglary, theft and criminal mischief with a bail of $20,000 no 10%. Mr. Cilurso was transported to Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
10/29/2013, Criminal Mischief, PO Eric Sudak- Report of criminal mischief to a business on Espanong Road. Graffiti was spray painted on the building.
11/04/2013, Drug Possession/Distribution, Cpl. Bill Kropp- Cpl. Kropp was investigating a suspicious vehicle on Cindy Lane. When he approached the vehicle a male subject fled from the vehicle into a house on Cindy Lane. A female later identified as Rebecca Piccirillo age 20 of Butler remained in the vehicle. The male subject later identified as Dylan Hannah age 20 of Jefferson Twp. Investigation revealed that they had a quantity of marijuana that they were allegedly smoking and weighing in the vehicle. Both were placed under arrest. Mr. Hannah was charged with obstruction, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute within a school zone, possession of suspected marijuana less than 50 grams, and possession of a digital scale used to distribute. Bail was set at $15,000.00 no 10% option. He was transported to MCCF in default of bail. A summons was issued to Ms. Piccirillo for possession of suspected marijuana under 50 grams, possession of a digital scale used to distribute CDS, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute within a Drug Free school zone and later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
11/9/2013 Burglary/Theft, Cpl. Glenn Peter- A resident of Ripplewood Drive reported that an unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway removing loose change.
11/9/2013, DWI, PO Tim Hecht- During a motor vehicle stop of Lower Berkshire Valley Road it was determined that the driver later identified as Shawn Mathews age 28 of Wharton was arrested and charged with DWI. Later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
11/10/2013 DWI, PO Sean Krater, PO Dave Wroblewski- During a motor stop on Route 15 South, the Officers determined that the driver later identified as Peter Benoski age 33 of Highland Lakes and passenger Marshal Keuerleber age 33 of Lake Hopatcong and were determined to be possibly intoxicated and both were charged with DWI. It was determined that at one point they switched drivers in the car prior to being stopped. Both were later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
11/10/2013, DWI, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Dave Wojtach / PO Tim Hecht- During a motor vehicle stop on Gerhardt Road it was determined that the driver later identified as Oscar Stanley age 22 of Florida, NY was possibly intoxicated . The passenger later identified as Joseph George age 22 of Haledon was also placed under arrest. Mr. Stanley was charged with DWI and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Mr. George was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Both were later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
