Criminal Mischief, PO Tim Hecht- A resident of Quincy Drive reported damage to a mailbox.
4/26/2013, Suspicious Activity, Possession
of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Chris Quidort- Officer Quidort
responded to the Gerhardt Apartments on Gerhardt Road for a report of juveniles
driving a vehicle with individuals riding on the front hood. Officer Quidort located the vehicle which was occupied by with
three males. The driver later identified as a 17 year old Jefferson Twp. male
was being questioned about the incident. Officer Quidort
could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. The
Officer Quidort later observed a marijuana cigar on
the floor. The driver was taken into custody and later issued numerous motor
vehicle summonses and juvenile charges are pending.
4/27/2013, Motorcycle Accident, DWI,
Cpl. Bill Kropp, PO Dave Wojtach: Martin
Augustine age 53 of Jefferson lost control of his motorcycle on Cozy Lake Road
and struck a guide rail. He was
conscious but not alert and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in
Patterson. Det/Cpl. Steve Muller responded as did the
Morris County Sheriff?s Crime Scene Unit. The driver was later charged with

Pompton Lakes was arrested by Roxbury PD on $2500 worth of Jefferson Twp.
Municipal Court warrants. He was late transported to the Morris County Correctional

Assault by Auto, PO Ryan McGowan- Christian
Ochs age 60 of Branchville was arrested at scene of a motor vehicle accident on
Route 15 South for DWI after striking another vehicle. Both drivers were transported
to St. Clare?s Hospital for moderate injuries. Mr. Ochs was later charged with
DWI and assault by auto.

Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Rich Riena-
Michael Palazzolo age 20 of Jefferson Twp. was arrested after
passing out and driving off the road on Espanong Road. A wax fold containing
suspected heroin was later found. He was
later charged for DWI, Possession of a controlled dangerous, Reckless and
Failure to Maintain Lane. Later released pending a Municipal
Court appearance. .

Doug Martin- Jeffrey
Haber age 35 of Jefferson Twp. arrested after patrol responded to his residence
at the Jefferson Apartments in regards to a noise complaints (loud yelling) for
the second time in a 3 hour period. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and
later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
5/2/2013, Warrant Arrest, PO Ryan McGowan-
Joseph Vernieri age 21of Jefferson Twp. was arrested on $5081
worth of assorted warrants from numerous municipalities. Bail was posted and later
Suspicious Activity, PO Justin Gjelsvik- A resident of
Milton Road reported that they received a call from a male claiming to be her
grandson and that he needed money for bail. She called her grandson and he did
not need bail money. Residents should be aware this is a fairly common phone
5/7/2013, Theft , PO Tim Hecht- A resident of Laverne Court
reported theft of a black bear lawn ornament from their property.
Drug overdose, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, PO Dave Wojtach- Officer Wojtach responded
to Woodland Drive for a report of an unresponsive male. Codey Dohm age 18 of Jefferson Twp. was found breathing but not
responsive. Waxed paper folds containing suspected heroin residue were located
nearby. Jefferson Rescue Squad responded and Mr. Dohm
was transported to St. Clare?s Hospital. Mr. Dohm was
later charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug Offenses, PO Chris Quidort- Officer Quidort stopped Joshua Garcia age 21 of Jefferson Twp. for
a stop sign violation at Mallard Drive. Officer Quidort
detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Mr. DeJesus was placed under arrest and charged with possession
of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He
was later released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
Drug Offenses, PO Sean Krater/PO Chet Glazewski-.PO Glazewski observed a white male on Route 181 who appeared
to have been in a fight. Officer Krater responded and they identified the male
as Ryan Young age 24 of Sparta. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Young
was possibly under the influence of heroin. He was placed under arrest and charged
with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and later released pending
a Municipal Court appearance.
5/15/2013, Theft, Cpl. Doug Martin- Owner of Woodport
Consignments on Route 181 reported theft of a Little Tikes playhouse from the
parking lot of the business.

Fabian- A resident of
Wood Hollow Trail reported that unknown actor(s) spray painted graffiti on a
sign in front of his house.
